Some advice beofre we get started...

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Each of you needs to work very hard in order to complete this literature circle on time. Each group has already planned out your reading for the entire literature circle. You should already know exactly which pages you are reading each night.

If you take the advice of those who have already done this (as well as your teacher) you will do a little bit of work each night. Here's the recommendation:
1. Read every night. Do not read ahead.Write just a bit about what you read - it'll come in handy when you write your summary.

2. Do some work on your literature circle jobs each night. You can do this on a computer, or in a notebook.
3. Come to class prepared.
4. Enjoy! This is a great assignment, and working together is one of the funnest ways to learn.

Push your thinking at all times. Please use the checklists I provide for each job. If you do substandard work, it will not be published.
